About ACEITLMS

The African Centre of Excellence for Innovative Teaching and Learning Mathematics and Science (ACEITLMS) is one of the 24 Eastern and Southern Africa Higher Education Centres of Excellence supported by the World Bank under the Africa Centres of Excellence II (ACE II) Project. Hosted at the University of Rwanda – College of Education, ACEITLMS is dedicated to strengthening human capacity for delivering research-based, high-quality teaching and learning in Mathematics and Science in Rwanda and across the region. The Centre works in close collaboration with leading regional and international institutions to promote excellence, innovation, and sustainable impact in education. At the heart of ACEITLMS is a commitment to transforming education systems through evidence-based practices, cutting-edge research, and innovative pedagogical approaches. The Centre actively contributes to building a new generation of educators, researchers, and professionals equipped with the skills required to meet the demands of the 21st century.
