To strength human capacity to deliver research-based quality teaching and learning of Mathematics and Science by offering postgraduate programs that produce graduates at the international standards and regional relevance. Conduct quality research and deliver indispensable trainings and short courses to support capacity building of mathematics and science educators in the region. Utilize new technologies in promoting teaching, research and dissemination of information by developing variety of computer based and multimedia instructional materials and using computers in science teaching laboratories objectives.
Masters Programs
The ACEITLMS run 4 Masters of Education programmes in Mathematics and Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), all of which are internationally accredited since January 2026
PhD Programmes
Since 2017, ACEITLMS run 4 PhD by research programmes in Mathematics Education and Sciences (Chemisry, Biology, Physics) Education. All the four PhD programmes are internationally accredited beginning January 2026.
Additional to running post-graduate programmes, ACEITLMS has also developed and is implementing a Continuous Professional Development Programme on Innovative Teaching and Learning Mathematics and Science (CPD-ITLMS). This CPD programme is for in-Service Mathematics and Sciences in primary and secondary schools. During the past 6-years, over 3,500 teachers from Rwanda and the region completed the programme.
