Theme: "Empowering educators to prepare students for the complex challenges of tomorrow" at the Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village (KCEV) 14th - 16th May 2025

The 3rd International Conference on Re-Shaping Education for Sustainable Development will be held from 14th to 16th May 2025 at the Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village (KCEV). This international gathering aims to advance discussions and practices around transforming education systems to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving world. Centered on the theme “Empowering educators to prepare students for the complex challenges of tomorrow,” the conference will offer a platform for innovative thinking and actionable strategies to strengthen education for sustainable development.

Participants will include educators, researchers, policymakers, and development partners engaging through keynote speeches, panel discussions, and research presentations. Topics will cover emerging trends in curriculum reform, digital innovation, equity in education, and the integration of sustainability principles across disciplines. The conference will also serve as a hub for networking, collaboration, and the exchange of best practices across local, regional, and international contexts.

The conference is jointly supported by the University of Rwanda, through its specialized colleges. Key contributors include Prof. Jean Uwamahoro, Director of the African Centre of Excellence for Innovative Teaching and Learning Mathematics and Science (ACEITLMS), who is among the organizing members advancing innovative teaching practices across the continent. Leadership support also comes from Prof. Florien Nsanganimana, Principal of the College of Education, and Prof. Ignace Gatare, Principal of the College of Science and Technology, both of whom are champions of transformative and interdisciplinary education.
