Master of Education in Biology Education

1. Admission requirementsin the MEd in Biology Education

To be admitted to the MEd in Biology Education, candidates should have an undergraduate degree with Honours in Biology Education with upper second class or equivalent.

For Bachelors degree holders in Science without Education, they should have either one of the following: (i) a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, or (ii) At least 5 years teaching experience in science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).

As English is the language of instruction at the University of Rwanda, candidates should demonstrate sufficient English proficiency to undertake a Masters level work.

N.B: Degree obtained outside Rwanda should obtain equivalence in respect to the Rwanda National Qualification Framework.

2. Mode of attendance, Duration

The program is on full-time, modular system by coursework and dissertation to be offered in a blended mode.

The program is for a period of maximum two years (four semesters).
