On 25th January 2021, the Centre officially received Master and PhD students who joined the Centre to pursue their studies in different specialization offered at the African Centre of Excellence for Innovative Teaching and Learning Mathematics and Science (ACEITLMS) namely Biology Education, Chemistry Education, Mathematics Education and Physics Education. This event was conducted respecting the set measures to curb the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
In his remarks, the Principal of the College of Education Dr. Nsanganwimana Florien commended all students for the right choice they made to pursue their career in Mathematics and science Education. Quoting Nelson Mandela, Dr. Nsanganwimana said, "Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the word”.

He emphasized that the University of Rwanda and College of Education in particular are committed to support these new students in the career they starting and ensured them a high quality of Education in Mathematics and Science Education.
During this event, students were taken through different UR regulations for postgraduate studies and got experience from their colleagues already pursuing their studies at the Centre.
